Domesticated Penguin Loves to Shop

This is a gorgeous little news story about a Penguin in Japan called Lala who was found caught in fishing line. He was rescued and nursed back to health by some lovely people, but when the time came to return him to the wild, this little fellow refused to leave.

So he was kindly adopted by a Japanese family and really made himself at home. He has his own little air-conditioned bedroom beneath the stairs and walks to the shops every day with his little Pingu backpack. What a sweetheart! Watch this clip and tell me that you don’t want one!

It’s quite remarkable that a creature used to living in the Arctic regions has chosen a warmer Japanese town as his home. I love how he even stops to consider a Coke on the way home from the fish markets… Well what are you waiting for?? Have a look!?
